Award-winning author Dr. John Bukowski is a former veterinary practitioner, health researcher, and medical writer who now writes short fiction and fast-paced novels, including Project Suicide, Checkout Time, Bad Pennies (a sequel to Project Suicide), and The Peeper. Project Suicide won third place at the 2024 BookFest Awards. Checkout Time won second place at BookFest and was a 2024 finalist for both the Silver Falchion and Imadjinn awards. John has authored twenty-one published short stories and a variety of consumer materials, including handbooks, website content, and radio scripts. His yet-to-be published short fiction collection, Shadows and Dust, was a finalist for the 2025 Claymore awards. He has extensive public speaking experience on theatrical stage, radio, television, podcasts, workshops, and seminars. He’s been a panelist at Killer Nashville 2025, and a workshop leader and panelist at Imaginarium in 2023 2024, and 2025. He’s a Detroit native who currently resides in Eastern Tennessee.
