Hidden at the top levels of the White House is a twisted loner who is bent on bringing down our current government. He launches a cyber attack from within that infiltrates all computer systems throughout the government including the Pentagon. At first it's just a limited malware that disrupts the systems. This high level player in our government unknown to anyone then issues a demand that the President and Vice President step down or they will unleash a virus that will permanently erase all files and corrupt all systems to the point that it will take months if not years to fix.Our heroine in the story is an ex-Army Ranger who in combat saved a whole battalion from destruction getting wounded in the process. For her heroism after she recovers she is awarded the Medal of Honor and given the option of any assignment she wants. She hates all the attention and has decided that she wants to leave the military but remain in service to her country. She therefore asks to be assigned to the Secret Service detail in the White House. She is trained in 3 styles of martial arts, has a degree in computer science and could have gone far in the technology world if she hadn't decided to join the military. She is puzzled and fearful for the country if the person hacking the system is not stopped. So she begins her own investigation during her off hours to try to locate who the perpetrator is and stop the attack before the final attack is launched.
